Axle Breather

An axle has got to breath right?

With the upper 4-link mounts going on top of the axle housing in the near future, the stock axle breather is going to be covered up. This meant that I have to add a new one. I chose to go with this -8AN fitting for three reasons, one the weld on bung does not protrude into the housing, two the -8 size will allow the axle to breath forever and not clog up with gunk like the stock one was, and lastly for a little added bling of the anodized blue.

Installation was a breeze. I just removed the old one, welded the hole shut. Then drilled a 1/2" hole on the rear on the housing and welded the new bung on. The fitting threads onto the bung.

Simple and Elegant.
