Getting the nod of approval

Being given the Thumbs Up

Getting a "Thumbs Up" is one of the most gratifying things one can recieve while driving their truck, and this happened to me...

I guess I should start by telling you all that I drive my highly-modified Ford Ranger 4x4 'Prerunner' to work everyday. My trail truck is also my daily driver. And as such I am used to people staring and slowing down or speeding up to have a look at what I have under my fenders. But to me, it is that moment when somebody gives you the nod or rolls down their window and gives you a "Thumbs Up" (not that other finger) that is really gratifying. It is at this moment that all the hard work, the late nights, the blood sweet and tears are all worth it. I know many of you will say that that is shallow, or that it is all about how the truck performs not how it looks. But I am proud to say that my truck performs well AND looks good and that thumbs up from a passing driver makes it all worth it. I guess I need to be faster with the camera so I can post a photo next time this happens,  but for now enjoy this cartoon thumb I found on the internet!
