Day 3 started off bright and early with the drive up to Area BFE. I'm not lying when I say it was bright when we set off, but bright didn't mean hot and apparently I didn't get that memo. When we arrived at BFE it was a comfy 36 degrees outside, and I was wearing shorts... bright huh. Anyway, for those of you who do not know what BFE is you are going to have to look it up. Sorry, this was my first trip to BFE and as far as I can gather it is an area of privately owned property just outside of town and it houses the famous Helldorado trail.
Once the trail rides were underway we made our way to the famous Helldorado trail to capture some of the action for you. This trail truly is amazing, I'll let the photos tell it's story. There are a few 'teasers' here, look for even more photos from Helldorado coming soon!
After the trail rides were over at BFE we along with a few of our sister magazines editors decided it would be a good idea to head out in search of some snow. Boy were we wrong. After finding the same spot that the guys went to last year and realizing that it was much deeper this year we decided that it would still be a good idea to head on in. Well after making it about 100 feet and getting several vehicles stuck we came to the realization that maybe we were wrong about this. Four hours later we were all unstuck, fixed, frozen, and headed off to dinner.
Day 3 was a long day, but not nearly as long as Day 4 turned out to be (remember, we're a day behind here). Tune in tomorrow to hear the tale of Day 4 in Moab!
