Here it is, in a nut shell. I ran the Texas Tour... you know, UA 2007, with my trusty old CJ-7 and turned it into a slightly wadded up pile of parts.
So, instead of fixing the dents and licking my wounds, I tore it down to bare frame rails and started over like any soon to be divorced gearhead would do. I stayed with my trusty old 7, but made a couple changes along the way. I put a new 406 in it, new TH350, and a new Stak300 with Tera 4:1 gearset and NW Fab Shifters. Stuck with the D60 and D44 that I built for last year, but changed from Dutchman front axles to Moser Max axles. I changed to Superlift Springs and Bilstien Shocks and outboarded the rears. I changed the body to an Aluminum Aualu tub and built an all new cage, dash, console, and seat mounts around Mastercraft seats. For bling I added a chrome steering column, Raceline Beadlocks, tons of powder-coating, Rocktite front fenders, Modified Smittybilt Bumpers, and a little bit of Viper Blue LineX. I guess what I am getting at, is that I spent way too much money and should have just bought Tom Allens "Highlighter" from last year... but hey, it wouldn't be UA without risking divorce and bankruptcy to get ready!
