For Tom's truck, he's down to really important stuff like cleaning spark plugs and checking exhaust gaskets, oil leaks and tire pressures. So we booted him out of the shop. He took the truck out for the 1st test drive on the new 40" KM2's and while it was just a street drive, the nice radials compared just how they should to the bias tires he was running before: WAY better on the road. No flat spots, no hunting ruts, less rolling resistance, etc. That'll be really nice since we're driving the trail trucks the whole trip this year, no trailers whatsoever, and we're looking at some pretty long road days. We're not really worried about the off road performance of the tires, they're BFG's! Honestly, we've run the KM2 on a few trips on other vehicles and had no problems with the offroad performance so we know we'll be just fine.
Our Cousin Willard Flowmaster truck is a little behind but still coming along strong. It's now mostly the same color so we're assembling body parts and bolting it together. We took it out for a test drive before washing it up for paint last night and everything runs strong and handles great so we're down to putting the body together and loading up our gear. We would prefer to be debating how many pairs of socks to pack right now instead of still thrashing on the truck but compared to last year when we had 2 days till we had to leave and the transmission didn't work... We're doing great!
