I'm back from Ultimate Adventure and that was an unusual trip for me. The buggy had overheating problems before I left Poly Performance and thus didn't make the trip. Then when I took my Army Truck as the back up vehicle it burnt up the transmission before I even made it to Rapid City, South Dakota.
Needless to say it was an adventure and I'll be posting pictures from the trip over the next week, but before I even get to that I thought I'd tell you about my latest dilemma, what to build next. Of course I have this crazy cool buggy that is almost done, Clampy that needs a few minor tweaks to be trail ready, the Red Sled that is sitting derelict in the shop needing wiring and the front axle fixed or replaced with something solid, and finally the Army truck that is running but rough after the UA trip, but being one part crazy and one part ludicrous it only makes sense that I would want to start a new project also. I have a few different directions I could go. First is the Cummins diesel engine that has been sitting in storage for three years now as I try to decide what to stuff it in, something I own or something I haven't purchased yet. Then there is the Jeep CJ-10 cab I have sitting in storage, it is part Jeep CJ part pickup cab, but for some reason I'm not sure I should put the Cummins in it. should it end up as a rat rod or an outback style expedition wheeler? Then there is the Flatfender Jeep, I don't have one yet, have always wanted one, haven't found the right one (cheap and rust free) and even though they are small, slow, and require a lot of time and money that I don't have, I think I still want one. I also need a tow rig, a trailer, and a nice fuel efficient commuter truck, but I'm already out of parking space. Maybe I do have a problem. Oh well, time to go get a coffee and hunt for more 4x4's
