Four-Wheel Drive Trails

This is a cool trail, its not tough and there's no rock gardens that need to be negotiated. But it winds its way though some spectacular Rocky Mountain country. If you can tell me where it is I'll send you a few Petersen's 4-Wheel & Off-Road stickers.

3. It looks like a section of the road between Engineer Pass and Ouray Colorado, near the Ouray end.

4. I'm pretty sure it's Imogene Pass near Ouray, CO. I live in South Fork and Gunnison Colorado but I havn't done this one yet. I plan on doing it and Black Bear this summer. Black Bear is quite a bit more hairy though.

5. I am not positive as its been along time since there.But maybe the road that heads up to imogene pass from the telluride side.To an old mining community right at timberline.Which you can get to imogene when the snow isnt what it was when we were there.And no its not anything at all difficult.When we took a stock 1990 forerunner up there and only the snow was what gave us fits!To the point I gave up after sliding back down twice.Backwards and it was my girlfriends vehicle at the time.However with lockers and good rubber I still dont know if we or anyone couldve made it.As ice is ice and thats all there is to it.The time before my cousin and I went up from the opposite side.Only to have another group up ahead from AZ.With the lead truck being carbed and catching on fire of course!Without any fire extinquiser!Needless to say the truck burnt to the ground as in even the tires.The tank blew and what a damned mess!
