we made it to ensenada. the new v6 diesel touaregs are awesome on the road and can run autobahn speeds comfortably all day long. we arrived safe and sound in our convoy of VW's and quickly headed for our media credentials. then it was off to tech inspection where we caught just the last of the race vehicles coming through the line. One of those trucks is Pistol Pete's trophy truck, with a race team of folks like robin stover from our sister mag fourwheeler and jesse combs formerly from Extreme 4x4, the TV show. Then it was time for dinner and then off to the Red Bull salon where we talked racing with some of our BF Goodrich friends. finally we headed back to our hotel, and along the way we came across a 200 series land cruiser similar to our own project and a jeep owned by our friends at Currie. time for bed, tomorrow we go see the VW trophy truck and the start of the race.
