Ambulance Heading Down Boone Road

Off-Road Safety

No, I am not an ambulance chaser! Yesterday (Sat) I drove down the road to the Hammer Trails to see if I could find a feature rig; the Hammers are a great place to pick them up. Unfortunately I hit Boone Road right after an ambulance did; I didn’t want to see this, I hate hearing how people are injured when they are out enjoying off-road recreation.

I’m on the trail more than some people could imagine, and I see all kind of crazy unsafe behavior. I would say that most injuries occur do to lack of experience, and negligence. I’m not saying freak accidents just don’t happen, because that’s what they are … accidents. It’s just that it doesn’t take much effort to have a safe and injury free outing on the trail; the best injury prevention is common sense. Be safe and be smart out on the trail.
