I am constantly amazed at how much plastic and composite materials are used on modern engines. I don’t really think it’s a bad thing, but interesting nonetheless. Think about how heavy the trucks would be if we were still hung up on using steel for everything. I often look back at old trucks and admire their styling, but think about how heavy they are compared to what’s on the road now. The Ford Ranger is a great example of this. Have you ever seen a 70’s series Ranger sitting next to a new one. It’s quite the change.
