Illegal OHV Use

This sign was placed on the north bound lane of Highway 62 leaving Yucca Valley, California. It reads:  "NO OHV RIDING CALL SHERIFFS DEPT."

This highway leads to major OHV recreational areas for the state of California, which includes the Hammer Trails,  Johnson Valley, and Lucerne Valley.

I'm sure that the San Bernardino County Sheriffs Department has no jurisdiction on BLM land, and I haven't called them yet, but I guess this is what's the future holds for us on lands (including private property) that used to be open for recreation.

This means that we need to all get involved in land rights issues, and pay attention to any and all rules regulations on lands that are still open. Stay on the TRAIL!
