If you weren’t aware of it the race was held in Johnson Valley, California. The race is a combination of high speed desert racing and rock crawling. The course covered over 80 miles of harsh desert conditions – some of the toughest the Mojave has to offer.
This was only the second King of the Hammers event, yet surprisingly, the majority of the four-wheel industry, top racers and rock crawlers had come to participate and watch the event.
You can read all about the race with action packed photography in the July 2009 issue of Petersen’s 4-Wheel & Off-Road.
