I can’t remember when an OEM has created as much buzz in the off road world as Ford has with their soon to launch F-150 Raptor edition. I was lucky enough to ride with Ford Motor Co at the ’08 Baja 1000 in the Raptor R race version of the truck and like many of you I was a little skeptical at first on how up to par the production version would be in comparison. Well, after spending some time with what is as close to a full production unit as they have come (built in-line at the plant, unlike early hand built models) I can say honestly say that I am not only impressed, but amazed at its off road and on capabilities. Look for an R&D exclusive as things continue to come to life with the new truck and hopefully we’ll get our hands on one before too long!
