Ultiamte Advenure has OFFICALLY Begun!
Today is Check In Day at the Days Inn UA Command Post. Editor Pewe is busy getting all the guys squared away with insurance wavers, tech inspections, sponsor stickers, and all the other legal stuff that makes allows Ultimate Adventure to happen each and every year.
As of 4:30 local time almost all of the participants have arrived.
Our first mechanical break has occured as Fred Perry lost a wheel bearing about 11 miles out side of town. They are working on it now.
Fred Williams should be close. We haven't heard from him in a while, but we know he's still moving and not too far away.
Kevin and the UA Super Duty are somewhere. Last we heard they were in Kansas and moving along well. We hope to see them soon.
And as I said, everybody else is pretty much here. We've had a chance to check out the town, pillage the Wal-Mart for supplies, and are now getting ready for the real fun to begin tomorrow on our first trail day of UA 09!
Anybody know where we are at yet? I'll give you a hint... we are in the city that is the birthplace of what would become the Jeep.
