With a 6:30am Drivers Meeting the entire crew was off to a groggy start this morning at our camp in Central Ohio. After receiving instructions from our leader and saying our goodbyes it was time to roll on out and head north, ish, to the great state of Michigan for the next stop on this Ultimate Adventure.
I'm sorry to report that today there were no real failures to speak of, which makes my job of blogging about it that much easier I guess. We did have one flat tire on the highway (odd, I know. Wonder how that could have happened...) And one rig run out of fuel... twice. Besides that it was an average day of watching fields fly by as we counted down the 450 miles to tonight's camp site and tomorrows wheeling.
Along the way we did stop for a brief time at a Wal-Mart, a Cabela's, and an Army Surplus store. That was fun. We all spent way too much money.
We arrived at our destination at approximately 8pm to a very warm welcome and a much anticipated barbeque dinner, which was AMAZING!
Now it's off to bed (soon anyway) then off to the trails bright and early in the morning, we can't wait to see what challenges this place has to offer!
