It's been just over a year and a rough one at that...

The UA Z71 has finally finished making it's obligated tour and off road stops and can finally go back to serving as a truck. While the Ape Wrap looked awesome, the body damage underneath it was looking a little rough. Since I use the truck almost daily I decided it was time to try and convert this crawler GMC back into the sleeper that it was intended to be. The first thing to do was peel the wrap off, which took a couple hours, but was extremely easy and didn't leave any sticky residue or damage the paint. My next step is too look for a set of Doors and star shaping up the body. I don't mind the look of the body damage so much as the misshapen door just lets so much wind noise in it's not fun to drive long distances. Wish me luck, as our magazine has no budget to keep these trucks alive so I will have to be creative and thrifty with my fixes.
