My buddy Todd is a funny fella.

Todd has a small fab shop, and while working on a friend/customer's Jeep there he traded his own Jeep with the guy due to lack of storage space for both.  Todd wanted to go wheeling with us for Thanksgiving, and the Jeep's owner graciously offered his Jeep to Todd, as long as the work was done on it.  Todd rallied and finished an amazing skid plate just in time to go and then had his first Johnson Valley experience, a cold windy night sleeping in the bed of his own truck under a collapsed ten man tent that was missing a few of the poles.  Not to be disenchanted with JV he followed us up the trail the next day in the customer/friend's Jeep.  Did I mention that the Jeep has a manual transmission and Todd is much more comfortable with an automatic?  It was a little rough going at first, but he got the hang of it.  Then the Jeep stopped running, and no fuel was the culprit.  We found a bad fuel pump and replaced it with a spare.  But then we found a wiring problem and had to hot wire the fuel pump to the tail lights so you needed to have the lights on to run the Jeep.  It was rough, and some would think not fun, but Todd persevered.  We made it home after three days in the dirt and Todd's already asking when the next trip is to JV.  I plan on being there over New Year weekend, you should be too.
