TrailReady Motorsports and the TNC Machine went to the season ending Henderson Desert Classic determined to finish 2009 on a high note. After a great showing in the 1000 mile Vegas to Reno event and a hard fought finish in Mesquite, the team aimed for the podium in Henderson. The 240 mile is considered a sprint in endurance racing and driver of record Tracy Rubio would solo this race. As is the case in sprint races, several teams ran pretty clean and themselves third on time at the halfway point. After a quick fuel stop they left the pits in fourth just behind the TrailReady sponsored #42 of Wil and Emily Staats. They didn't need to pass Staats, just finish within 5 minutes of them due to their starting position. The two trucks battled the course and frequent dust pockets through lap three, staying even on time. On the final lap, when a buggy got release from the pits between the two it made the difference and crossed the finish line 57 seconds out of 3rd position. the team finished the season on a strong note and will continue to push for a win in 2010.
