The new trail master leveling kit for the 2012 Ford F-150 adds two-inches of ride height that levels out the front-to-rear stance of the vehicle, and allows the use of larger diameter tires. While some leveling kits simply use a two-inch coil spacer, trail master divides the lift by using a one-inch urethane coil spring spacer, and a one-inch aluminum bolt-plate spacer that sits on top of the coil/shock assembly. This unique feature prevents excessive coil spring pre-load that can cause a harsh ride and inhibit the spring’s ability to properly oscillate. It also limits the overall length of the coil/shock assembly to keep ball-joint angles within their proper operating range, and eliminates the chance of contact with A-arms or other components when the suspension is under full compression or droop.
The system comes with everything you need, including high-grade hardware and long Zip-Ties, used to secure the steering knuckle while the coil/shock assembly is removed from the suspension. Manufactured in the U.S.A. the trail master leveling kit fits 2004-2012 2WD and 4WD models. For more information, contact Performance Automotive Group, P.O.
