Case and point. My friend Ronnie was heading home from the beach a few weeks ago and a drunk lady in a BMW swerved into his lane (traveling in the opposite direction mind you) and totaled his truck. Given that Ronnie's truck sits atop 46-inch Claws, it was quite the impact and accident. The crash was violent enough to bend his 1-ton rear axle as well as crash his bed into the body.
Luckily all party's walked away from the scene (well the drunk lady got hauled off in handcuffs). It appears that the Weld wheel and Mickey Thompson tire took most of the impact. Surprisingly the wheel did not crack, but got mangled into this shape seen here.
Just a reminder, be careful driving out there this summer.
